Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs. You will be highly motivated and bring commitment to teamwork, provision of high-quality education for students with SEND, flexibility and a willingness to explore new strategies.  You will be keen learn more about and develop skills in adopting a trauma informed approach using PACE as a strategy for managing behaviour.  You will be able to quickly develop strong positive relationships and have resilience and perseverance in abundance in order to help students make progress.

Future Education is a small Specialist Independent School part of Future Projects Charity. All of our young people have and EHCP with social, emotional and mental health as a priority, many have additional special educational needs including ADHD, ASC, dyslexia, speech and communication.  Through our unique combination of academic and vocational study alongside a range of therapy provision our students engage with learning and acquire the skills and qualifications they need to go on to lead happy fulfilled lives.

We are looking for a kind, compassionate and dedicated person to fulfil a vital role in our school.  If you are excited and enthused by this opportunity and feel you have the right skills and aptitude but are not yet fully experienced or qualified, we would welcome your interest.  The right personal qualities are especially important in working within our environment.

Job Description

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for the right person to join our busy and vibrant school community. You will have the opportunity to design, create and maintain a new learning resource area and library for our students.  You will become expert in knowing and understanding the learning needs of our students and work with them to identify and use resources which can support their progress. In addition to developing this central resource you will provide administrative support for the SEND and safeguarding teams.

Future Education is a small Specialist Independent School part of the Future Projects Charity. All of our young people have SEMH needs along with associated behavioural difficulties, and many have additional special educational needs.  We provide both academic and vocational facilities along with a range of therapeutic provision allowing our students to engage with learning and acquire the skills and qualifications they need to go on to lead happy fulfilled lives.

Having the ability to be meticulous, organised and systematic you will be able to work independently and anticipate the unexpected along with planning for the routine.  Highly developed skills in communication will be required both written and verbal, along with confident use of information technology.

The ability to make excellent relationships quickly will be essential to this role. Personal qualities are of paramount importance you will be expected to be approachable, professional, flexible and reliable.

Ideally you will have experience working with in a school and preferably with an understanding of children with special educational needs.  We are keen to nurture talent, and for the right candidate we will support with training the right personal qualities are especially important in working within our environment.
