Project Improve
The objective for delivering the Project Improve at Future Education is to promote educational, social and personal development through engagement with practical hands on building, maintenance and gardening projects. The projects we undertake will have a positive impact on the school environment and give our students a sense of responsibility.
The following is a list of aims we hope to achieve throughout the year:
- Environmental awareness from exploring such areas
- Knowledge and skills gained from experience in the outdoors and involvement in conservation activities
- Shared experiences with friends and role models
- Opportunities to take responsibility for change at a local and national level
- Strengthen character values of cooperation, achievement, challenge and self-esteem
- Opportunities for active learning
- Strengthen values relating to care, respect, environmental connection, belonging, sense of place, curiosity, responsibility…
- Teamwork skills, from planning, decision-making and completing small projects.
- Confidence and communication skills from sharing experiences and knowledge with peers.
- Material to include in CV, learner profile and Record of Achievement
- Promote healthy living, physical activity and relaxation
